All great achievers have one thing in common: a passion to succeed. Ashish Kumar Mishra, born to a middle-class family, embodies this mantra. He passed his class 10 exams from our school with flying colours, defying the theory that every student has a specific area of interest. His excellence continued to transcend from better to best, and two years later, he passed his class 12 exams with 96.8% marks. In 2018, he secured All India Rank 2648 in IIT-JEE on his first attempt and was admitted to IIT Banaras Hindu University. But his best was yet to come. In his second attempt, he cracked the UPSC exam and ranked 52.
Looking back, my time at BCS holds a special place in my heart. Despite initial struggles, the school’s transformation into a center of learning excellence inspired my growth. I’ve published 25 research papers, a book chapter, and created open-source research software. I was selected in a highly competitive Indo-Dutch program (CSER PHD75) co-funded by Shell to pursue a PhD at the University of Amsterdam. Following my PhD I worked for three years as a postdoctoral researcher, working on different molecular and materials aspects of clean energy applications combining physics, chemistry, IT, and machine learning. I now lead a quantum computing project at TU Delft.
Anurag Thakur, renowned for his acting prowess in acclaimed series like "Mirzapur," "Samantar," and "Tandav," had his educational roots firmly grounded at Bright Career School. Thakur's scholastic journey at BCS played an integral role in shaping the multifaceted individual he is today. Thakur excelled academically and showed a strong interest in extracurricular activities while attending BCS. He had a platform to develop his talents outside of the classroom thanks to the nurturing environment at the school.
